Contest Speech
All three of the radio broadcasts and TV news broadcasts prepared by LMTV received division I ratings at the District competition and presented their performances at the State Contest. All these groups also received straight division I ratings from a panel of three judges at the State competition.
TV News and KPEN Radio Broadcast were chosen to perform at the All-State contest. KLAK Radio Broadcast was chosen as a non-performing group. Group Improv was also chosen as a performing group and the Ensemble Acting group performing "The Crucible" was chosen as a non-performing group.
Gibson Akers, Raquel Kragel, and Jordan Webster-Moore received division I ratings for Radio Broadcasting at the District competition as well as at the State Contest.
Raquel Kragel and Lexi Helgens were nominated for the All-State festival in reviewing and storytelling respectively. They will perform at the All-State Festival at the University of Northern Iowa on March 26. Sam Fathallah was selected as non-performer in acting for the All-State Festival.
